2014 Dolcetto

Join the Wine Club

Thoughts of Piedmonte, Italy usually bring images of big tannic Barolos and Barbarescos, but an oft-forgotten everyday variety of the region is Dolcetto. Roughly translated, Dolcetto means “little sweet one.” While not exactly “sweet,” wine made from Dolcetto exudes light and fruity characteristics on the nose, low acidity and an earthy finish with big tannins. Will pair beautifully with Triple Cream Brie, Savory Risotto or Duck COnfit.
